Abortion in Ireland: The Language of the Campaign for Reproductive Rights provides in-depth critical linguistic analysis of the diverse discourse types present in the fight for women's bodily autonomy in Ireland, over four decades, exploring discourse from the imposition of the Eighth Amendment in 1983 to its repeal in 2018 and analysing the decriminalisation of abortion in the north of Ireland.
Accompanied by a wine reception (generously provided by the English CDRG and the Centre for Research in Linguistics).
